Dakota Ridge Trail - Golden, CO
The Dakota Ridge Trail is a spectacular hike, which provides incredible views of the eastern plains, as well as the foothills and Rocky Mountains to the south and west. The views along this trail are some of the best in the Golden, CO area, due mostly to the fact that it runs along a high hogback and hikers can see these great views in many different directions. One of the other big attractions is the dinosaur tracks, which can be seen along a short stretch of the trail.
